Billy Strings New braunfels Concert reviews
It was OK
I visited the web site and read reviews, but I wasn't sure what to expect. My five year old son, who has been really into Billy Strings lately, went with me. He is fascinated by instruments and likes music. He thought it was cool, enjoyed the music, and the movie clips. After the intermission, he was ready to go home. However, the second half started with a laser show that grabbed his interest, and then he made it through most of the remaining segments. As the last segment started, he was ready to go home. We left and 'beat the rush.'
I saw the first movie in the theater when it was released. From my perspective, I thought it was fun and had to keep reminding myself that there was an actual symphony orchestra playing the music. Sitting across the arena and just watching the film clips, I did have some great moments of nostalgia.
At $55 per seat, was it worth the money? It was a little steep. However, they closed our section and upgraded us at no charge. Without that, it wouldn't have been as good.
